Jon is an expert in reality capture, specializing in 3D laser scanning, unmanned aerial systems (drones), 3D photogrammetry, and photography. He is certified in the operation and use of the 3D laser scanners, AutoDesk 3ds Max, and as a remote pilot by the Federal Aviation Administration. Along with thorough documentation of objects, people, sites, and sets, Jon processes retrieved data to be reconstructed into 3D models for use in VFX and previz.

Jon has planned, overseen, and compiled data for many historical preservation/building documentation projects, including the Lincoln Memorial, Washington Monument, Ferryboat Binghamton, and Mount Moriah Cemetery Gatehouse, all of which appear on the list of U.S. National Historic Landmarks. It is with the same intricacy and accuracy that Jon ingrains into historical preservation and forensic data collection, that he puts into the reality capture of Theorem 3D projects.
