After joining the Engineering Animations Department at Theorem 3D’s parent company (DJS Associates, 2016), Laurence developed a plan to bring his passion for film and television to his current work in engineering animations and forensic video analysis. In 2020, Laurence founded and launched Theorem 3D as a division of DJS Associates, alongside a talented team of professionals to bring unprecedented VFX deliverables to the entertainment industry.

His professional and technical skills are focused in the digital visual arts, 3D animation technology, and programming fields. Laurence earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Arts from the Maryland Institute College of Art and earned various certifications in Digital Video Forensic Analysis and Visual Effects, among others.

As VFX Creative Director, Laurence establishes strong connections with clients and helps make their visions come to life. With his expert knowledge in scan data processing, camera match moving, modeling, texturing, animating, and compositing, he oversees all aspects of projects from conceptualization to a final deliverable product. Using various programming languages, he efficiently automates repetitive workflow pipeline tasks and produces interactive real-time rendering applications. Focused on true innovation, Laurence custom-developed an in-house photo modeling rig, MIMICS, able to scan actors, costumes, and large props. He has created visual effects for a number of independent films and has production experience including on-set visual effects supervision.
